Finance Representative

The overall job objective for a Finance Representative is to be responsible for the monthly internal financial statement and yearly external financial report. They will also manage approval of accounting entries according to local laws and to Orifarm Gorup principles and make sure to meet the deadline while being compliant to local requirements for accounting, VAT, Intrastat etc.
This role involves close collaboration with the Polish Shared Service Center on operational accounting tasks, as well as maintaining a strong connection with local business units and the finance function at the headquarters in Denmark.
Main tasks:
- Making sure that everything is according to local principles and in line with Orifarm Group policy Czech
- Monthly and annual financial statements including controlling of balance and cash flow impacts
- Local audit process
- Being the main driver for controlling of the inventory and fixed assets on site in Hostivics
- Cross-Department Collaboration Liaison with auditors, local banks, tax consultants, procurement, and executive management
- Support for tax-related questions and cooperation with Group Tax department or local tax advisors and tax authorities in Czech.
- Processing or controlling of VAT returns for Czech companies and Danish companies registered in the Czech Republic
- Processing or controlling of Intrastat reporting in Czech
- Participation in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analysis of variances and financial performance indicators
- Support to Business Finance/internal stakeholder in general
- Analyzing variances and financial performance indicators.
- Responsibility for the financial statements of our two entities in Czechia.
Typical decisions made by the employee:
- Making monthly and annual financial statements, including controlling balance and cash flow impacts.
Controlling inventory and fixed assets at the Hostivics site. - Processing or controlling VAT returns for Czech companies and Danish companies registered in the Czech Republic.
- Processing or controlling Intrastat reporting in Czech Republic.
Qualifications and competences required:
- Fluent Czech C1 is mandatory
- Advanced English level
- Educational background: Finance Controller/Manager or similar.
- + 5 years of relevant experience in finance. Multinational, Multi-Site Operation experience would be beneficial.

- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision when controlling financial data, identification of trends of financial performance.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely assistance and being aware of the importance of reaching deadlines.
- Basic Accounting and Financial Knowledge: Understanding fundamental accounting principles and practices to ensure accurate handling of financial transactions regarding Group principles and regards local gape.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with both internal teams and external stakeholder relations to resolve discrepancies, and address inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to accounting and financial statements to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Numerical Proficiency: Strong numerical aptitude for accurate calculations, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
