Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure
Warsaw, PL, 00-189
We are looking for a Senior Manager IT Infrastructure to lead strategic and complex IT infrastructure platform initiatives that support our digital transformation.
About the job
As Senior Manager IT Infrastructure, you will lead and develop a team of engineers based in Poland to deliver against the Must Wins we have committed to — including building toward a Zero Trust architecture and strong OT network segmentation — while keeping the lights on across a complex, regulated environment. You will need to balance daily operations with forward development — running the platform reliably day-to-day while driving the changes that take it to the TOM target state.
Your responsibilities include:
Lead the infrastructure platform team
- Manage, develop and grow a team of ~8 infrastructure engineers across on-premise, cloud, and networking domains
- Run the team rhythm: daily standup, sprint planning, incident reviews, 1:1s, and performance conversations
- Build capability in Cloud/IaaS, automation, monitoring, and architecture — areas where we have identified gaps
Own the infrastructure platform
- Own and operate server infrastructure, virtualization, networking and connectivity across Orifarm's locations
- Hold explicit responsibility for building and maintaining secure, reliable, and compliant systems across the infrastructure estate
- Drive the cloud roadmap (IaaS — Azure primary) and lead migration of appropriate workloads
- Establish monitoring, observability and alerting as a managed capability — currently a key gap
- Lead infrastructure automation and scripting to reduce manual toil and increase reliability
- Own IT Asset Management and CMDB maturity — both NIS2-required and currently under-resourced
- Drive the Zero Trust roadmap across identity, network, and endpoint — a core direction for the infrastructure platform
- Build out OT network segmentation to isolate production and lab environments from corporate IT
Deliver in a regulated environment
- Operate within Orifarm's GxP framework — validated systems, change control, audit trails, and documented procedures
- Support NIS2 compliance requirements across the infrastructure domain
- Contribute to audit readiness
- Work with the ITSM&E Manager and EUT/WaaS Manager as part of the broader IT I&O leadership team
Drive service quality and improvement
- Be the first escalation point for infrastructure incidents
- Define and deliver against infrastructure SLAs as part of the Service Level Management framework
- Identify and close technical debt — prioritised against business risk and TOM maturity targets
- Contribute to architecture decisions and maintain infrastructure standards documentation
Who are you?
- Proven experience leading an IT infrastructure team (5+ years people management)
- Strong hands-on background across server/virtualisation, networking, and cloud (Azure)
- Experience operating in a regulated industry — GxP, pharma, or equivalent compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to close technical skill gaps and build team capability over time
- Fluent English — this is the working language across the I&O team
- Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation with distributed stakeholders
Strong advantages
- Experience with NIS2 or ISO 27001 implementation
- Azure certification (AZ-104 or higher)
- ServiceNow knowledge
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Polish language — the team is Poland-based; English is sufficient but Polish is valued
- Architecture and design experience at infrastructure level
- Microsoft 365 administration and licensing
- SASE infrastructure
Who are we?
You will lead a team of 8 engineers in Warsaw — experienced, technically strong, and going through a period of change following a recent leadership transition. They need a manager who shows up, is technically credible, builds trust quickly, and gives them clarity on direction.
We work as a collective team where collaboration, ownership, and trust are key. We succeed and fail together, value humor and an informal tone, and believe in coming to work as whole people.
