Implement and standardize the operational technology foundation for our digitalization journey
Orifarm is embarking on a major digitalization journey across our manufacturing and warehouse locations. A key step in this transformation is establishing a secure, scalable, and standardized OT environment that supports automation, data integration, and operational stability.
As OT Domain Engineer, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining OT infrastructure and industrial systems across sites. In addition to supporting daily operations, you will contribute to shaping technical standards and ensuring consistent architecture across locations.
You will work closely with IT, cybersecurity, engineering, and automation teams to ensure reliable operations while supporting modernization initiatives and the implementation of our IT/OT architecture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the implementation and operation of OT infrastructure including industrial networks, control systems, and connected production and warehouse equipment
- Contribute to the implementation of IT/OT segmentation and cybersecurity controls aligned with the Purdue Model and IEC 62443
- Help define and maintain OT technical standards, ensuring consistent implementations across manufacturing and warehouse sites
- Support the translation of architectural principles into practical technical solutions that can be deployed and operated across locations
- Enable standardized data acquisition from industrial equipment and automation systems, ensuring that operational data can be securely and reliably collected and made available to enterprise platforms, data analytics teams, and business applications
- Troubleshoot and support OT systems including PLCs, SCADA systems, automation platforms, and related infrastructure
- Work closely with site engineering teams, automation vendors, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure stable and secure system integrations
- Participate in digitalization initiatives and modernization projects involving automation, industrial IoT, system integration, and operational data platforms
You will join the Digital Manufacturing & Innovation team and report to the Director of Digital Manufacturing & Innovation within the IT organization. The role requires close collaboration with central IT functions, architecture teams, cybersecurity teams, and local site engineering and operations teams.
Who are you?
Hands-on OT engineer with architectural mindset
You have a technical background in industrial automation, electrical engineering, or a related field, and you enjoy working with complex operational environments where reliability, safety, and security are critical.
You bring:
- Experience working with industrial automation systems such as PLCs, SCADA systems, or similar control technologies
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and industrial networking
- Understanding of IT/OT environments and interest in OT cybersecurity principles such as segmentation and secure remote access
- Experience supporting standardized technical solutions across multiple sites or facilities
- Experience with industrial data acquisition and integration technologies such as OPC UA, MQTT, or industrial gateways used to expose machine and process data for analytics platforms
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems involving hardware, networks, and software components
- Experience working with GxP/GMP and NIS2 regulation
- Fluency in English is required.
- You are structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.
- You enjoy working with both engineers and IT specialists and are motivated by creating scalable and standardized technical solutions that can be deployed across locations.
