We are looking for an experienced procurement professional, preferably from Pharma industry,  who will be part of newly created function (SRM – Supplier Relationship Management), dedicated for strengthen partnerships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and other parties (e.g. brokers, agents, labs, etc.) supplying Orifarm business with all semi-finished and finished products.

 

About the job

As a member of Supplier Relationship Team (SRT), you will be leading strategic negotiations with current and potential suppliers to ensure cost effective solutions and deals for the company. You will be responsible for maintaining close and collaborative relationships within assigned group of suppliers, while building a culture of long-term optimal procurement costs management.

 

Your key responsibilities in the role will be:

  • Devising and executing fruitful sourcing strategies especially in countries outside Europe with focus on Asia
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Understand, analyse and leverage the supplier market with regards to technical capabilities, cost competitiveness, financial stability and Pharmaceutical quality standards
  • Regularly performing standard procurement requests and procedures (RFP) and (RFQ) in a structured and state-of-the art manner by securing the reputation and credibility of Orifarm
  • Building and maintaining good professional relations with assigned group of suppliers through conducting  regular performance & collaboration assessment.
  • Participating  to Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with suppliers and lead the Strategic Procurement part during those meetings
  • Regularly visit suppliers and attend relevant exhibitions/fairs. Amount of travel is estimated 30-40% of working time. Key focus is on travels to Asia combining several suppliers, hence each travel will require to spend at minimum one work-free weekend within the country of travel.
  • Manage contract with suppliers (update terms &conditions in ERP system, close, amend and terminate contracts as required)

 

Who are you?

The role requires a deep knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in understanding market dynamics and, at least, basic understanding of  Pharmaceutical regulations and GMP.  We also expect strong negotiation skills and proven experience in collaboration with Asian countries with profound cultural insights.

 

In terms of education, the ideal candidate supposed to hold  MSc/BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.

 

Among the key characteristics of a successful candidate we expect: 

  • Understanding of cross organizational supply chain process flow
  • Strong negotiation skills supplemented with proven cross-culture communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities with aptitude in decision-making and problem solving
  • Analytical skills: working with numbers, collecting and analysing data
  • Business English written and spoken at negotiation level

  • You will be building, developing, and maintaining professional relations with approx.. 30 suppliers;
  • You will closely cooperate and share best practices with other SRM teams, in order to ensure continuous improvement of Orifarm´ s SRM function and practice;
  • You will work and coordinate closely with your colleagues in all central and corporate functions i.e., Supply Chain, Quality Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Business Development, etc., in order to secure high quality and profitable supply of products to Orifarm customers

Job Location

The position will be located in Orifarm headquarters in Odense, DK, where most of the SRT will be located.
