About the job

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional dedicated to strengthening our partnerships with suppliers and other parties supplying Orifarm with all semi-finished and finished products. 

 

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic negotiations with current and potential suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions and deals. You will be responsible for maintaining close and collaborative relationships with assigned suppliers while building a culture of long-term optimal procurement cost management.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute fruitful sourcing strategies in countries with a focus on Europe
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships, while supporting strategic direction for suppliers in assigned area
  • Understand, analyse, and leverage the supplier market regarding technical capabilities, cost competitiveness, financial stability, and Pharmaceutical quality standards
  • Regularly perform standard procurement requests and procedures (RFP) and (RFQ) in a structured and state-of-the-art manner by securing Orifarm's reputation and credibility
  • Build and maintain great professional relations with assigned groups of suppliers through regular performance & collaboration assessment
  • Participate in Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with suppliers and lead the Strategic Procurement part during those meetings
  • Regularly visit suppliers and attend relevant exhibitions/fairs. 
  • Understand the CMO landscape and their developments 
  • Build in-house competencies and share best practices with functional colleagues

 

 

In this position, you will report to a Director. Supplier Relationship Management and you will be part of a cross functional team.

 

Who are you? 

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant education. As a professional, you possess a solid knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques and have experience with negotiation internationally. You must understand market dynamics and have a basic understanding of Pharmaceutical regulations and GMP.

 

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in a heavily regulated industry, such as Pharmaceuticals, Food, Cosmetics, FMCG, Chemicals, or similar, as it will be crucial to establish success in this role. 

 

As Orifarm is an international company, you must be professionally proficient in English and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
