Principal - External Developments
Odense S, DK, 5260
Join our growth journey! We are seeking an experienced professional in generic pharma development to fuel our pipeline of prescription drugs for Northern Europe.
About the job
As Principal, External Developments you will play a crucial role in expanding our product pipeline for specialty niche generics in Northern Europe by identifying interesting development opportunities. You will identify and evaluate product leads together with internal and external stakeholders until they reach the development phase, after which you will play a smaller, supportive role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Continuously working on finding new product candidates for external development so we build a strong pre-pipeline. This is conducted both through pharmaceutical technical assessment of products as well as through market analysis to build robust business case calculations assessing the viability and potential of new development opportunities.
- Maturing pre-pipeline projects through our stage-gate model both by independently driving assessments and by successfully working with internal stakeholders.
- Eventually contracting with CDMOs for the development and supply and transferring the projects to project development leads/PMO.
- Maintaining and expanding a strong network of CDMOs through virtual meetings as well as traveling internationally to perform face-to-face meetings.
- Maintaining solid knowledge of requirements for registration documentation for generic pharma products.
You will be joining the External Development department for the Specialty Rx platform and will report to the Head of External Development.
Who are you?
We seek a candidate with a university degree within natural science or economics/business administration as well as a proven track record (10+ years) of success in actively working with generic pharmaceutical development projects (preferably project management).
In addition, we envision that you bring the following:
- Self-motivation and a strong ability to work pro-actively
- A strong business acumen and a dedication to successfully completing initiated tasks
- A team-oriented approach, with a solid understanding of cross-functional dynamics, excellent communication skills and the ability to work constructively with internal stakeholders
- A proactive mindset with a “can-do” attitude and strong analytical skills
- An understanding of the European generic market dynamics and regulatory pathways
- A well-established network within the CDMO industry
- Basic understanding of the European patent legislation and framework
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to find common ground ensuring Orifarm's best interests
- Fluency in English
- IT competences: Microsoft Office and Power BI
