About the job 

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Director with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex logistics landscapes. You will oversee daily management, projects, network optimization, CAPEX investments, and define and execute the strategy towards 2030. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

As a Logistics Director, you will play an important role in supporting the Supply Chain organization with strategic logistics insights. Your responsibilities will focus on driving operational efficiency, optimizing business performance, and ensuring strong governance in key decision-making processes.

• Oversee daily operations of logistics operations – Warehousing, Transportation, and Facility Management.
• Define and execute the logistics strategy towards 2030.
• Push for Orifarm Logistics to become a strategic enabler for the business.
• Drive initiatives for network optimization and continuous improvement.
• Manage and implement CAPEX investments to enhance operational capabilities.
• Oversee and sponsor strategic projects related to logistics, production, warehousing, transportation, and Facility Management.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Directly manage senior managers within transportation, warehousing, logistics, and sales support.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Utilize experience with ERP systems to optimize logistics and warehousing processes.
• Oversee ERP system implementation and integration projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align logistics strategies with business goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers.

Who are you? 

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong logistics background with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate logistics insights into business impact. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing complexity, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels to drive informed decision-making.

• Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, and Facility Management.
• Solid and in-depth logistics and warehousing understanding and experience.
• Proven experience with ERP systems in a logistics and warehousing setting.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Knowledge of network optimization and CAPEX investment strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to define and drive long-term logistics strategies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
• Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs and market conditions.
• Initiative: Proactive approach to driving improvements and innovations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• +10 years of experience in logistics or a related industry.
• English (must). German (advantage).

You will be part of the Supply Chain team reporting to the VP of Supply Chain. The team consists of 4 direct reports and 160 employees in total. Our team plays a key role in providing logistical insights and strategic support to the organization, ensuring data-driven decision-making at all levels.
