Are you an experienced QC leader ready to take full ownership of QC operations at a manufacturing site?

We are looking a Head of Quality Control Department for Orifarm’s Manufacturing Site in Łyszkowice, Poland. In this role, you will drive the development of the department while ensuring the highest standards of compliance within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

 

About the role

The objective of the position is to manage the department and take responsibility for all Quality Control activities related to the development and progression of the department while ensuring the compliance with applicable policies, instructions, guidelines, local and international laws and regulations of the pharmaceutical industry.


 
Main tasks:

As Head of Quality Control Department in the Quality Unit, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of team (up to 80 employees) and processes effectiveness (including KPI’s tracking);
    Staff development and training;
  • Ensure of GMP (including data integrity) and Environment, Health & Safety compliance within area;
  • Supervision over timely performance of analysis of non-sterile liquid and solid forms (including raw materials);
  • Supervision over results interpretation and trending;
  • Supporting laboratory investigations;
  • Supporting development, validation and transfer of analytical methods;
  • Approval and authorization of quality documentation;
  • Working in computer systems, like: SAP, LIMS, EQMS (including QC disposition);
  • Supervision over laboratory equipment;
  • Supervision over definition and implementation of QMS tasks;
  • Supervision over management of controlled substances in the subordinate area;
  • Budget supervision (including investments);
  • Laboratory Excellence projects;
  • Participation in regulatory inspections and external audits from customers;
  • Cooperation with external clients as part of the contract services.
     

Who are you ?

You are a skilled professional with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position in pharma industry and you have:

  • Higher education degree in chemistry, biotechnology or similar;
  • Strong attention to details, organizational and leadership skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards
  • Strong analytical knowledge (mainly with chromatography and spectrophotometry);
  • Excellent communication and listening skills;
  • English – fluent knowledge (including specific for the pharmaceutical industry)
  • Polish – fluent knowledge (including specific for the pharmaceutical industry)

 

Who are we?

In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your managerial skills by working with four highly specialized, well-organized quality control teams and their managers/leaders (approximately 70 people) in the areas of raw material and packaging testing, finished product testing, microbiological testing, and QC laboratory support.
As part of your role, you'll have the opportunity to implement new QC projects within an international QA environment and have a real impact on implementing changes and improvements.
